Mobile Notary
'Barely' Gets By While His Business Thrives
FLORIDA — When Bear Creek Notary Dan Mlotkow-ski performs a notarial act,
he is no different than any of the other of thousands of other Florida Notaries
— with one exception. Upon request, he will perform his notarial acts sans
clothing. A mobile Notary, Mlotkowski turned his comfort *.
with nudity into a way to attract business. A man of many trades, Mlotkowski advertises
his nude
construction and Notary Public businesses for those in the vicinity of Pinellas
and Hills-borough counties. "The idea of a nude Notary actually came up after
I started the 'Handyman' business," said Mlotkowski, 44, who advertises under
the moniker "Naked Dan the Handyman," although he also offers the option
of working while clothed or some combination thereof. "I was discussing different
services I could offer in the nude and the profession of Notary came to mind."
Mlotkowski first became comfortable working nude after a doctor's visit informed
him of high blood pressure, resulting in him losing more than 30 pounds and gaining
a newfound confidence. In order to ensure professionalism, before going on
any assignment that will involve nudity, Mlotkowski insists on agreements being
signed beforehand that prohibit any physical contact. With rates of up to $150
including traveling fees, Mlotkowski's handyman and Notary businesses have been
profitable to the point that he continues to look to hire others to help with
all of his businesses. "Although the idea of the naked handyman is not really
an original idea, no one has taken it anywhere near the level I have," Mlotkowski
said. "However, I believe the idea of a nude Notary is a first, so I'm an
original!"
